Management International

The Faculty of Business Management and Economics will offer the English-language Master's degree in "Management International" (M.Sc.) from the winter semester 2024/2025. This will strengthen the international orientation of the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg.

The degree program provides a broad spectrum of international experience and skills. These qualifications are intended to prepare students for the challenges of a globalised society and economy.

Admission Requirements

  • Numerus Clausus: 2,0
  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree program (acquisition of 180 ECTS)
  • Proof of English language skills (level B2)
  • Proof of minimum competences acquired in certain areas, such as business administration, economics and econometrics

General Structure

The following table shows the structure of the Master's degree program in Management International. The 120 ECTS to be achieved are spread over four semesters. Of these, 60 ECTS are allocated to the core area and 30 ECTS each to the track and thesis areas.

Compulsory Elective Area 1: Core

In the core area, the four sub-areas of Management, Economics, Data Analysis and Research & Communication must be taken. Students can customise the core area to their personal interests by choosing individual courses.

Compulsory Elective Area 2: Track

In the track area, students can choose one of three specializations. These are Finance & Accounting, Operations & Information Management and Marketing & Entrepreneurship. The tracks are each divided into four core electives and a seminar.

Useful Information about the Semester abroad

All students on the Master's degree program in Management International are guaranteed a place on the Erasmus+ program. There are also other partnership programs outside of Europe.

Application

You can apply for the degree program for the respective winter semester by 15th July at the latest. You will need the online portal WueStudy for this. You can find more detailed information about the application process on the website of the Student Administration Office.

MOT

The Master's Orientation Tutorial (MOT) takes place shortly before the start of your degree program. Here you will receive all the relevant information about your upcoming degree program. You will also have the opportunity to make new friends.

You will receive more information about the MOT by e-mail in good time.

Portals

You need WueStudy not only for your application, but also during your studies. You use the portal, for example, for exam registrations, certificates and your timetable.

You can find documents relating to your courses in the WueCampus portal.

Seminars and your thesis are registered and distributed via the Flip portal.

Studierendenwerk

The "Studierendenwerk" helps with all kinds of matters, such as housing, BAföG and childcare.

The Master's degree program in Management International offers students a wide range of career prospects after graduation, particularly in an international context. Here are a few examples for you:

Marketing

In international marketing, graduates design and implement decisive business strategies on a global level. In digital marketing, they can reach customers worldwide. International market research is also relevant here.

Consulting

Management consultancies in the field of international management develop business strategies in line with global market conditions. Graduates can, for example, support companies in developing effective market entry strategies for foreign markets.

Human Resources

In international human resource management, graduates manage and develop employees in globally active companies. Sub-areas include international recruitment, intercultural training, talent development and conflict management.
